Wow! Where did the time go? It seems like only yesterday when we were getting ready to cross. I guess time really does fly when you’re busy and having fun! And, Epsilon has been doing just that since our magnificent trip to our first Regional Conference in March.
We’re grateful and thankful to God for blessing us as a chapter and seeing fit to give us His stamp of approval on our many projects. Epsilon started out by donating clothing to the Dress for Success program; which provides business attire for individuals going out into the work world; but without the proper clothing. We continued on by participating in the National Cancer Walk in May, to being invited to Youngstown, Ohio to celebrate our first Founder’s Day with our Sorors of Alpha Nu.
Keeping it moving, the month of October was very busy – Sorors shared their pride with Soror Areda Neal and Soror Charlene Nichols as they were named Mother of the Year by the Jack and Jill Club, while still having time to participate in the Walk for Autism and share Iota information at the annual Expo sponsored by GEO, Soror LaTonya’s Home Health Care Training business.
Epsilon sponsored a Meet and Greet at Bravo’s for Potential Iota’s, and held our first Rush as the newly re-established chapter on November 7th. We then celebrated National Education Week last month with Fullerton Elementary School of the Cleveland Municipal School District, (thank you Mr. Cedric McEachron, Principal and students; Leroy, Le’Kaja and Ronald for allowing us to bring information on the various types of flu and preventative measures to take as well as giant sized hand sanitizers for them to place in the main office, cafeteria, gymnasium and library) just to name some of the activities and events we participated in. We’re eagerly working during Correspondence Month with planned activities with Senior Citizens at a neighboring Nursing Home.
Epsilon thanks all of our Sisters for welcoming us (back) in with open arms and being always willing to lend a hand. We are excited about this journey, and are truly blessed to have Sorors such as you to travel it with.
From the GREAT 8 – President Danette Allums and Sorors, Jainice Belcher, Ellen Berts, Kinimo Chatman, Martina Chatman, LaTonya Jackson, Areda Neal and Charlene Nichols – Our Wishes for a very Merry Christmas and a blessed and Prosperous New Year!
